When Tom Hassell founded Hassell Wealth Management, he envisioned a business grounded in relationships. Our firm would provide financial planning that connected people’s finances to their life goals while cultivating long-term relationships based on trust and accountability. He has seen his vision to be a “client’s guide to true wealth and financial freedom” come to fruition over the years, as not only clients have remained with the firm for decades, but their children, once grown, have become our clients as well.
Tom started his working life not in the office, but in the Mojave Desert of California on behalf of the Bureau of Land Management. He then worked in the Gulf of Mexico, servicing oil rigs, before deciding to pursue a career in financial planning. He wanted to work one-on-one with people as he helped make a meaningful difference in their lives. Today, Tom participates in team meetings with staff and in quarterly board meetings.
Outside of the office, Tom is an active member of the community. He's a startup board member for Young Life of Houma, an active member of his church, and a member of the Houma Downtown Restoration District.
Tom and his wife, Jackie, enjoy time with an extended family that includes numerous children and grandchildren. They also enjoy serving as active members of biblical centered non-profits. Some of their favorite activities include horseback riding, snow skiing, biking, traveling, and camping.
